New for 2020 – Foster Families Cooking Together
Thanks to a grant from National Lotteries Community Fund, we are running family cookery classes for foster families. Come as a family with children of any age and enjoy cooking with us. You will make a dish to take home for supper. The children and young people will learn cooking skills and you will enjoy creating a meal together.
Click on the dates below to book via our website. There is no charge for foster families:
Saturday 15th February, 2.30pm to 4pm
Saturday 14th March, 2.30pm to 4pm

Family Cooking events
Do you have a young fussy eater at home? Are you worried that they are not getting all the nutrients they need to be healthy? Are you at your wits end to find dishes they will eat and to get variety into your family meals?
We can’t promise anything but we have found that when children cook with their parents or carers, they are more likely to try the end result and experiment with new flavours and ingredients.
One mother wrote to us after cooking with her children at Chequers Kitchen: “The first course I did with you a couple of years ago made such a difference to the way we eat and this course with the children has had such an impact also! Who’d of thought my girls would eat leaks, tomato soup etc! They gag on fresh air usually!!! I honestly am so grateful.”
Our family supper classes are for parents or carers to cook together with their children? With the help of our Chef and team, adults and children cook tasty, family-friendly meals together. In this course you will:
- help your children or grandchildren be less fussy eaters
- enjoy quality time in an activity with your children
- come along after school and make your supper together
- learn about healthy eating for families
