Cookery Courses

Our Cookery Courses in Kent

Across the globe, having a poor diet has been named the biggest cause of early death – even more than smoking. We believe that if you don’t know how to cook from scratch with plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit, then it is very difficult to eat well. So we are on a mission to teach as many people as possible to learn to cook from scratch with fresh ingredients!

Learn to Cook in a Friendly Group

Our cookery courses take place in our purpose-built, fully-equipped teaching kitchen just outside Deal in Kent. You’ll have all the equipment you need to get cooking and plenty of help, guidance, support and encouragment.

We offer a range of courses for people and organisations. You can learn to cook healthy family suppers on a budget, gain a food safety certificate and more.

Our funders such as The Big Lottery, Kent Community Foundation and others make it possible to run these classes free of charge to anyone who could benefit but who could not otherwise afford to attend. To join a course you can ‘refer’ yourself by giving us a call or emailing us; or ask your support worker, Health Trainer, community warden or other helper to get in touch with us on your behalf. See below for the different types of courses:
